How payments work
Your money never sits with us.
Payments go straight to your own payment account, with trusted providers such as Stripe, and pay out on your own schedule.
Four steps, one of them is ours.
- 1
A supporter pours you a cup
They pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or with PayPal if you’ve added it. No account needed.
- 2
It lands in your account
The payment is made on your own account with our payment provider (currently Stripe). You're the seller.
- 3
Our 2.5% is taken once
The payment provider sends our fee to us at the moment of payment. That's all we touch.
- 4
Paid out to your bank
On the payout schedule you choose in your payment account.
What it costs
2.5%
Platform fee on each payment. No monthly fee.
0%
For founding creators, for your first six months.
Card fees
Charged separately by the payment provider.
Plain and simple
What we never do.
- Hold or pool your money. It settles in your own account.
- Earn interest on it. We never hold it, so we can’t.
- Promise instant payouts. Your payment provider sets the schedule.
- Override your payment provider or bank. The final decision is theirs.
Personal support is a gift, not charity.
Every page says so. Sadaqah, Zakat, Waqf, Lillah, charity and donation wording is reserved for verified registered charities. We don’t issue charitable tax receipts.
