Kas D’atayBeta

Terms

Clear terms, plainly written.

Kas D’atay is a Byesar project for Digital Faith Foundation. These terms explain how the service works for creators and supporters.

The service

What Kas D’atay does.

Creators publish a page where supporters can send one-off support. Payments are processed by Stripe on the creator’s own Stripe account. We are not a party to the payment between a supporter and a creator, and we never hold creators’ money.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist.

Joining the waitlist doesn’t create an account or commit you to anything. We’ll use your details only to contact you about joining Kas D’atay, as set out in our privacy policy.

Creators

Your page and your money.

Only approved creators can publish. A person reviews every page, and every post, picture, link and sound is checked before it goes live, including each change you make later. Anything that breaks our content policy may be declined, paused or removed.

You connect your own Stripe account and accept Stripe’s terms. You’re the seller of record for payments made to you, and responsible for your own taxes, refunds and chargebacks. Stripe decides whether to verify, restrict or close your account.

You must not describe personal support using words like Sadaqah, Zakat, Waqf, Lillah, charity or donation unless we have verified you as a registered charity. You keep ownership of your content, and give us a licence to host and show it to run and promote the service.

Fees

One clear fee.

Our platform fee is 2.5% of each payment, collected by Stripe at the moment of payment. Stripe’s processing fees are charged by Stripe on your own account. Founding creators pay 0% for their first six months.

If we increase the fee, we’ll email every affected creator at least 30 days before. A new fee never applies to payments already made, and you can close your account before it takes effect, with no penalty.

Supporters

A gift, not charity.

Support is a voluntary gift to the creator for their work. It isn’t a charitable donation unless the page is a verified charity. Refunds are at the creator’s discretion, subject to Stripe’s dispute process and your legal rights. Receipts come from Stripe; we don’t issue charitable tax receipts.

Using Kas D’atay

Fair use.

Everyone must follow our content policy. No fraud, no testing stolen cards, and no scraping or interfering with the service. We may suspend or remove pages or accounts that break these terms, or where the law or Stripe requires it.

Governing law

Which law applies.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Islamic principles

Our good-faith effort.

We design our payments and content policy to follow well-known, well-documented Islamic guidelines. This is our good-faith effort, not a religious ruling, and each person remains responsible for their own religious obligations.
